Sou brasileiro, paulistano e cidadão português por descendência.
Nos últimos anos, venho desenvolvendo uma arquitetura de sistemas de controle distribuído para fomentar aplicações em residências inteligentes, home care e agricultura de precisão.
Minha formação inicial é de Técnico em Eletrônica pelo Liceu de Artes e Ofícios de São Paulo.
Em 2000, graduei-me Engenheiro Elétrico pela Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo.
Em 2004 e 2009, respectivamente, tornei-me Mestre (MSc) e Doutor em Ciências (DSc), também pela POLI – USP.
Em 2004, lancei o livro Residências Inteligentes que tem sido usado como referência em cursos de graduação e pós-graduação em várias faculdades do país, dentre elas a USP.
Entre os anos de 2006 e 2007, fui Diretor Técnico da Aureside, a Associação Brasileira de Automação Residencial e participei da fundação do LAR, o Laboratório de Automação Residencial da Poli-USP.
Desde 2008, sou responsável pela Boltech, uma empresa que me dá a oportunidade de transformar minhas pesquisas em produtos e soluções comerciais para o mercado.
O próximo passo é viver em uma cidade litorânea, com a beleza e o charme de Paris, a infraestrutura das cidades americanas e a educação do povo inglês.

I am Brazilian, born is Sao Paulo and Portuguese citizen by descent.
In the last years, I have been developing a hardware/software framework in order to foment smart home, home care and precision agriculture applications.
I have been working with electronic hardware/system development since 2000 and became interested in the field of Domotics while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. My research has been evolving since then and as a result of my work to achieve a MSc degree, a home automation simulator resulted.
In 2004, I authored the first Brazilian book about home automation, home networks and Domotics titled Residências Inteligentes (i.e. Smart Homes).
In 2006, I became the Technical Director of the Brazilian Home Automation Association, an eleven-year-old non-profit organization with over 350 members including manufacturers, resellers, developers and students.
In 2007, I helped created the Home Automation Lab at Polytechnic School at University of Sao Paulo. It is the first Brazilian academic center for research in smart appliances and smart homes.
In December, 2009, I finished my DSc thesis on wireless sensor networks designed to implement intelligent devices and Internet appliances for home applications. I believe this approach will help discover efficient ways to use energy and water resources in daily home applications. My research also includes the social aspects of home user interactions in a whole house automation scenario.
Since 2008, I am Boltech’s CTO, a company where my research and ideas become products.
In 2011, I will finish writing my second book in the Domotics field. It will be used as an engineering text book.
I am very concerned about natural resources and home care, and I have been developing smart house devices to improve the quality of everyone’s life.
My next step is to grow further professionally, living in a new culture, in a city down the shore, with the beauty and the charm of Paris, the infrastructure of an American city and the English politeness and manners.
